Somewhere Soon Near You And Or Me

Somewhere Soon Near You And Or Me is a piece about the cycle of a day, from quiet sunrise, to busy mid-day, and on to a wondrous evening with a view of what's ahead. The peak of the scheme, a seemingly random assortment of colour and form, is a demonstration of the chaos we encounter in our day to day lives, but when we zoom out and reflect we see symmetry and order.

Having worked almost exclusively as a digital artist and designer, working in the urban environment is a fresh challenge for me. I did a lot of research on murals to try and train my eye and work out things like scale and rhythm over a large piece like this. I wanted to energise the street with the piece and give a burst of colour. The idea of telling a story through abstract art was an interesting challenge, and one that pushed me and made me strive for something new.
